SportsPlan AI sells subscription training apps to club-level players. We build one sport at a time, in categories that are too small and too specific for the large fitness platforms to serve well.
The market
Millions of adults hold a rating in their sport and train regularly without a coach. The large fitness apps group them into broad categories. Building around the rating system is hard for those platforms to copy, because it has to be redone for every sport.
How we make money
Monthly and annual consumer subscriptions. Generating a plan costs very little, and the apps share one set of infrastructure for accounts, billing and plan generation. Because each sport is a separate brand, we can put money behind the ones that work and leave the others alone.
Current status
Four apps are live, covering tennis, pickleball, golf and hockey. Our main product investment is the progression engine that reassesses players and moves them up a level, since that is what keeps subscribers past the first few months.
Timing
Participation in racquet and paddle sports has grown sharply, adult beginner programs are filling up, and the cost of producing a personalised plan has fallen far enough to make a ten dollar subscription viable.
